Documents can be electronically served (or e-served) to other parties in a case via email notification by selecting eFile and Serve — which sends the documents to both the court and other email addresses in the case's Service Contacts list — or by selecting Service only as their Filing Types.
Sometimes, a filer inadvertently e-serves a document they didn't intend to send. Maybe they e-served it to an incorrect party. Maybe the document they both filed with the court and e-served was rejected by the court due to some error, and the filer doesn't want others to access a potentially erroneous document.
Unfortunately, once a document is e-served whether the filer selected "eFile and Serve" or "Service only" as their Filing Type, there is no way to undo this process. Any hyperlinks to any documents in an email service notification sent out to any email addresses in a draft's Service Contacts list cannot be disabled.
