If using the Failure to Pay Rent portal (currently in Maryland), and receiving the following error messages, please follow these recommended steps to resolve:
"Unexpected exception..."
"Unable to determine fees. Try again. Contact support if problem doesn't resolve within the next minute."
Check the file name of your document(s). Please be sure to name the file with only letters and numbers. The addition of symbols/special characters (/:%&@!#-_.etc.) can trigger this message as the site is unable to process the document, which prevents the fees from calculating.
If renaming your files does not fully resolve the issue, try re-saving your document(s) using the Print-To-PDF method.
