The article below will show what needs to be entered into the Case Cross Reference Number section.
You will need to enter your Cook County Attorney/Self Represented Litigant code on every filing. You will be unable to proceed until doing so. If you are a Pro Se filer (Self Represented Litigant), you will enter 99500. If you do not know your county assigned number, you will need to contact the court directly for assistance.
If you are an attorney and do not know your Attorney Code, please contact the Cook County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office at (312) 603-5030.
1. Enter your number in the 'Case Cross Reference Number' box (ex. 99500 for Filer's without attorneys)
2. Select the appropriate Case Cross Reference type. If it's a number (ex. 99500) this will be the Cook County Attorney code/ Self Represented Code.
3. Click 'Add Case Cross Reference Number'. Your number will be added to the list below. You can click 'Actions' to the right to remove any numbers added in error.
4. Click 'Save Changes' to proceed to the next section.
Continue through the filing, hearing date schedule will appear after you finish the filing and click Submit.
