If you are looking for additional fees such as Copy Fees, Citation, Constable / Sheriff / Marshall fee, or any Service fee can be found under the Add Optional Service & Fees button. Optional Services and Fees are in the Filings section under the Lead Document field and are available based on the filing code you have selected.
You will find the 'Optional Services and Fees' section just below the area you attach your document. To add fees to your filing, you will need to click “Add New Optional Services and Fees”. You will be presented with a drop down menu to the left to select the applicable service/fee. Once you have made your selection, click Save Changes. If you need to add another Optional Service, you can do so after saving the first one.
Courts can also have the fees stored as a Filing Code. Scroll through the Filing Code box to see if any fees are associated with a filing code.
Please Note: Only Efile Only or Efile & Serve filings have Filing Codes. Service Only filings do not have Filing Codes.
Note: For any court to have fees paid through the EFile website, the filing will have to be submitted and accepted by the court.
If the Optional Services & Fees button has been mistakenly clicked, a blue blank line will appear. This can prevent the Save Changes from being clicked. To remove the blank Optional Service & Fee, click the Actions in white and select Remove optional service. Click the blue Save Changes after it is removed.
- Note: The options that appear in the menus are different for every court and configured based on the specifications and requests of the courts. If there is an option that the clerks feel is missing from the list, they will need to contact their Court Support Team to request it be added for filers to select. Users can also check to see if there is a filing code that matches that fee.
- Note: Not all courts have any Optional Services & Fees configured. If a user feels this may be in error, they should contact the clerks at the court they are filing into for more information. If this is an error or oversight, the clerks must contact their Court Support Team to configure this menu option.
