Ad Damnum may appear in the fees section. It means the amount of money you are asking for. You must type in the total amount of money you ask for in your document. If you do not type in the amount, your document could be rejected. For example, if you are file a small claims case asking for $4000 in your complaint, type $4000 into the Ad Damnum box.
If you are not seeking an amount, enter 0 (zero) in order to fill out the required field.
CAUTION: Do NOT enter two punctuation marks (especially two periods) into a number in the Ad Damnum field, or the site will continue to load after you click Save Changes and you will not be able to progress further. When you enter a number in the Ad Damnum field, especially one containing decimal places (for the cents after the whole dollar amount), simply enter the whole dollar amount number followed by a single period, then followed by the cents. (For example: if you are asking for $4,271.30, type this number into the Ad Damnum field as 4271.30 with no other punctuation save for the one decimal mark.)
