NOTE: agents should visit that state's website first and attempt to replicate the error BEFORE sending any information up to Desktop!
This error message indicates the bar number being entered on the Firm Attorneys list is not valid.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Remove any leading zeros from the bar number and retry.
- If in Texas, check to see if they are a licensed attorney in the state. If they are licensed, a ticket will need to be submitted to Desktop to be updated. Use the Macro built in Zendesk.
- Massachusetts users receiving this error will also require a Jira to be submitted.
- For all other states, you can provide this reply: "If you are getting an error about the attorney number being invalid, you will want to contact your State's Bar organization. There is information they will need to update on their end so that the bar number will be input into the system. As technical support, we do not have access to the records for the State."
