NOTE: Email service (e-service) is not required. To skip e-service, return to the Filings section and set the Filing Type to eFile Only.
This section appears if you selected EFile and Serve or Serve as the Filing Type (in the Filings section). The Service Contacts is the case specific email list for electronic service.
Check the box next to the service contacts you want to serve electronically. If you do not select the checkbox or if you remove the check from the checkbox, then that service contact will not receive email notifications for that filing.
- Are you unable to remove the checkmark next to a Service Contact entry you do not wish to send e-service to? This Service Contact may have been added by someone else on the case and will continue to receive e-service. You may have to contact either whoever added this Service Contact entry or the clerks at the court the case is filed into to have either of them remove this entry from the case's Service Contacts list.
You may also see this section even if you selected EFile as your filing type. It lets you to add your email for electronic service of later filings in the case.
It is recommended to add only your email or emails of those within your Firm to a case service contact list.
Add an email by clicking the Actions button to the right of the party.
The Add New Service Contact option allows you to enter your email for this case only (not all states have this option).
The Add From Firm Service Contacts allows you to add emails from your Firm's Service Contact(Firm Master list). If no emails appear on your Firm Service Contacts list, click here to learn how to set up a Firm List.
The Add From Public List option (not all states have this option) is to add emails from a list of contacts that are publicly available.

FAQ: If I am starting the case, am I automatically added to the Service Contacts for the case?
Answer: Adding a service contact is a manual action taken by the user. Filing a new case does NOT automatically add your information to the service contacts for the case.
NOTE: If you do not have the email address of the Service Contact you wish to add and you cannot find their contact information via the Public List, you will have to contact the person you wish to add to the Service Contact list and obtain their email address from them. If the Service Contact you wish to add is an organization, you may need to find a public email address for that organization via web search or from the organization's website.
