The one time per case per party eFile fee is tracked based on the party responsible for fees that was selected when the fee was paid for the first time. The Party Responsible for Fees can be found in the Fees section of the eFiling process.
If the one time fee has been paid, make sure to select the same Party Responsible for fees that was selected on the previously accepted filing.
After the party is selected, the fee should turn to 0.00 amount.
If you are not sure which party had been selected on your previously accepted filing, check your Filing History. In the Filing History, find the previously accepted envelope, click the Actions that corresponds with it and select View Envelope Details. In the Fees section of the details, you can see the Party Responsible for Fees that was selected.
Please note: In the rare case that your case information has been updated or consolidated by the court in some way, then the system may charge you with a fee as if the party you are filing on behalf of hasn't paid their fee yet. If this is the case, you will need to contact that clerk’s office for your next steps or more information on how the court would like you to proceed with your filing. They may be able to approve you using a waiver account to bypass the fees.
