Copying an envelope is only available if the court has rejected the entire envelope/each filing and/or each filing has been cancelled or submission failed. If any part of the envelope has been accepted/receipted or is still pending review/processing, the Copy Envelope option will not be available.
For more information on the different statuses on the efile website and what they mean, please visit the following article:
If your envelope was partially rejected, you will have to refile. There will likely be a new case created from the document that was accepted, so you will file into that case and submit only the corrected version of the document that was rejected.
Furthermore, copying an envelope can only be performed one time. When an envelope is copied, a draft is created. You would need to resume the draft in order to continue making changes. If the draft has been deleted, and/or copying an envelope is not an option, you would need to start a new envelope in order to resubmit.
You may reference the original envelope number and filing date in the comments to court section. For more information, please refer to the help article below.
Note: If the envelope was from an existing case (already was given a case number by the court), you can start a new draft by filing into the existing case number provided by the court.
